A tábori és a hordozható informatikai rendszerek fejlesztésében jelentős előrelépések történtek és történnek. Rengeteg célszámítógép és egyéb kommunikációs berendezés áll már jelenleg is a katonák rendelkezésére a tábori körülmények között végrehajtandó feladatok teljesítéséhez.
